The International Food Authenticity Assurance Organization (IFAAO) is a U.S. based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to engender trust in the food supply and assure food consumers worldwide that their food is authentic.

To achieve this mission, we will bring together leading experts from the public and private sectors who are committed to the advancement of food authenticity, and with them, create a singular harmonized approach to protect, promote and preserve food authenticity.

Having achieved Observer Status with Codex Alimentarius, IFAAO will contribute to Codex discussions associated with finding ways to define food authenticity and engage Codex member states in its discussions and efforts.
